The class is intended to scout and point out enemies, maybe snipping a few here and there.....but if you play like this, you can just delete the game or watch paint dry, since you get meager rewards or your team ignores the spotted enemies on the map anyways because using a minimap is a very difficult thing for the average Battlefield player

Or you can go full tryhard MLG noscopzzz because the snipers are pinpoint accurate, you have decent options for most ranges (also thanks to the new carbine) and are way better off to play Recon like an Assault with AP mines and a flare gun
