As for game content, I'd say Firestorm is a pretty substantial chunk of added content. The question is how meaningful that content is to the community. I personally enjoy it, and will continue to play it, I reckon. But I totally understand the people who don't care for it, and I agree that Firestorm doesn't entirely make up for the lack of content in the rest of the game.

I stick to my belief that the challenges should promote trying to be a better player and team mate, and not to force you to do weird shit, or play game modes that you don't like, but I understand why the challenges are very firestorm oriented

Personally I think Firestorm feels unique enough to warrant its own existence, and not just feel like a cash grab. And I feel it's substantial content in the game, but I sympathise with the people who don't like it as well. Because I also want more maps and so on.
