If you're alone you could attempt an emergency landing to get them to back off
Slowing down can work
If you take them by surprise they'll overshoot
If they predict it they'll slow down too though and you'll be a close target for them
I just played the BF-109 and I turned around and the spitfire still find ways to catch up
I play the fighters with the agility upgrade
So you turn faster than them

The VA can get 8 machine guns and generally destroys anything, but I prefer the utility of the cannons on the VB

You have 3 real options when someone is on your tail: 360 until other one gets bored, then kill them. 360 until friendly fighter helps you. 360 until AA gun kills either you or enemy
