I also think firestorm should be free, I was against it at the time, but after thinking about it. I think for the longevity of battlefield V a good royale that is FREE which will attract millions and millions of more players could buy cosmetics in that game mode which could then in turn help the prosperity of battlefield V

most of the time players will run the suomi or the tommy gun, the majority will use the suomi due to it having the best base RPM for any SMG in the game, and you dont get penalized for running with the 50 magazine.
The tommy gun on the other hand you will be hurt with a small decrease in RPM compared to the suomi, so base stats the suomi is better, but once you get to the 900rpm perk for the tommy gun, thats when usually the tommy shines, it has very controllable recoil and drops people in milliseconds.

You would still need both supports and medics on your team for this feature to work, the whole “Taking X from person” x being the ammo/meds.
Now, if they worked in that feature and corrected it fully, by adding a cooldown it would be super useful, because firstly, the ammo box has a cooldown when you place it, and ammo/medic pouches will most likely get a nerf soon
