In all First Person Shooter games, i unanimously am bad at using scoped weapons. I am better with reflex/red dot sights or iron sights. This goes for everything from TF2 to Battlefield to CoD. So, wheras in Battlefield 3 I was instantly able to equip iron sights, far too many games basicly treat the sniper as a scope only weapon and have the iron sights as an unlock (which turns it into the battle rifle i'm better with)

So wheras in 3 I managed to actually play Recon

And high magnification abstracts your vision and makes it harder to move your sight

so 99 percent of the time i just use a DMR type weapon over a sniper for the same purpose

I play a lot of Operation Metro, i find it's a really good balance between long range engagements, tight engagements in close quarters and map outmanuvering

wheras most other maps (on 3, at least) tend to lend themselves to an overdose of air superiority

Battlefield 4 would probably be somewhat better if I could play it (In lieu of the sniper thing, i keep finding myself with weapons i'm bad at using, and weapons i'd have won with if I had them unlocked)

one of the checklists for the superior service in reconnaissance medal involves getting 250 kills at melee range

apparently I have 2

so.. I'm assuming it means with a bolt action

Which means i have to actually kill them in melee distance with the bolt action and not anything else

Which is absolutely ass backwards
