The balance for tanks is quite weird, they are slow, their main canons do very little splash damage, other tanks can get so many hits and seem to care very little...

but it's hard to think of a better model straight away

My main complain is that right now, the tanks have a really hard time shooting on the move

for some that's not so much of an issue, as the faster ones

but the slower ones having to stop to fire or needing such a flat terrain (even in terrain such as PanzerStorm weird stuff happens) have a very hard time adapting
