It’s funny that a host of what is seemingly non-devs are so judgmental of a process they don’t necessarily understand. These cats are still creating titles that outshine CoD in on it’s best day, but it’s never going to be good enough for folks who want to armchair quarterback the end-state of the release. In any piece of software, no matter how good the people behind it, there will always be bugs that either can’t be foreseen or are tough to address. As the consumer public, our obligation is to set the expectation and then have the patience for the production house to meet it, let alone exceed it. Opinions on that progress will differ, but in the end it’s what we have and we need to adapt for the time being to give them the opportunity to address it. Let’s be clear, they’re working on this stuff and they have been overly transparent about all that compared to previous releases. It’s not marketing spin, much of it has been unfiltered and raw acknowledgement of issues. They’ve made promises as so far they’re keeping them. I am going to give them that chance, and I encourage others to do so as well.
