I think people just want to be able to test all the weapons with specializations, as well as see the damage you're doing to a target. Also setting the targets farther than 100m would be great, because that's really not that far.

FOR THOSE INTERESTED: I was having an issue where I was getting stuck on the deploy screen with the mouse cursor showing. The only thing I could do was select the text chat box - leaving the only solution being hitting alt-f4. I updated my nvidia video drivers and I've now played several games without issue. I recommend giving it a shot if you have run into this issue.
