Apart from that the only thing you really have to learn is just experienced based. Know what battles you can win and when you have to focus on surviving, like if you're getting chased by a BF109 G6, you better just focus on avoiding him until help arrives, as his cannons will destroy you once he gets behind you. Don't try to take on bombers without heavy guns such as quad hispanos and so on, learn how much your plane can take damagewise so you know when it's worth it to intentionally stall out etc...
