Nope, most common tank was the Pz. IV which was worse in just about every way compared to the Sherman. And worse in many ways than the T-34-85. Maybe par with the T-34.

TBH the thing that would have helped Germany the most is probably more trucks. But given their fuel limitations, it would only help if they made a strong push to capture additional oil fields and stopped plundering invaded countries in a haphazard manner.

The Germans did some really dumb stuff with war plunder, like disassembling factories to ship the heavy equipment back to Germany. Simultaneously depriving themselves of useful factories closer to the front lines and putting more load on their shipping capabilities.

They basically defunded their fledgling nuclear program very early on in the war, as they saw a nuke as infeasible. They kept a very small skeleton crew working on reactors for a few months, but IIRC they never achieved any serious successes on reactors either.

I had a game on Arras just then and we were trying to take F. There was one person left on point and I was thinking "Must be one person waiting for backup" Sure enough, three more people appeared. I saw them out prone in the grass trying to hide and headshotted one, but their medic didn't even think twice and straight up went for the rez. So first I melee's the freshly rezzed guy, then the medic, then their two mates. At no point did they realise that I was there until they were dead, and it was glorious.

Dont run around like a headless chicken, play near your squad so you can be revived and revive squadmates.
Upgrade your guns with specializations. Lower your sensitivity if its very high.
Dont enter fights where you are at a disadvantage, use cover properly.

I dont think BF1 was bad, like you could have some amazing moments picking up the sentry kit and walking into a hail of fire, but the gunplay wasn't the best because of the random recoil and slow TTK
