@amber notch Maybe because the STG 44 & 1-5 are both worse than SMGs even more than they were in the beta, now they cant compete with SMGs or LMGs up close. Add on to that the fact the SMGs got better hipfire and the fact that LMG with bipods & semi autos will out Damage the STGs at range and the STGs are left as in the middle with better alternatives. Just use the Turner.

LMGs got a hipfire upgrade as well, so they cleanly beat the StG up close too

@amber notch You have to consider that while the STG might have only gotten a small nerf, other weapons got a buff that makes the net "nerf" to the STG larger.

The stg is the middle gun, i only use the tommy gun for medic lvl 20, and yet the stg can still out dps at most ranges, it just has a slower firerate, people are using the sturm more than the STG currently because it has a higher firerate and hits slightly harder, just less control.
The stg itself isnt a bad weapon, it can still kill more efficiently than 78% of the weapons in the game.

If you dont shoot a 5 round burst you are loosing out on free damage.
If you shoot a greater than 5 round burst you are wasting ammo on shots that are not as likely to connect.
