Yeah there's 5 variants you get in BF1 for preordering BFV, the Fedorov variant, an M1919 SMG(Thompson), the BAR M1918A2, M1911A1, and a Mosin-Nagant Carbine

The issue isn't that there's women per se, but that they insist the way they've included women is realistic, which is utter fucking horseshit. They could have avoided all controversy by simply having one of the war stories be about one of those female Soviet snipers. Boom. Done. I know they didnt do frontline action but they had military rank and did other tasks within it. close to action would be woman serving in London in the AA guns when there was german bombings. aside that would be spies and resistance fighter or the case of Russian having the Battalion of death. Besides some rare cases there's examples like german young/adult woman during the last days of the war in the german side being part of some action in the frontline
