Weapons in BF1 are very unique in their own ways. It all depends on your playstyle. Easy weapons are the Automatico, SMG08/18, and Model 10-A hunter for the assault class. Autoloading 8. Extenden, M1907 SL, and Fedorov avtomat for the medic class but there are plenty good rifles for the medic so it depends on your playstyle.
For support I'd take the BAR, MG14/17, or lMG 08/18

Quick question about BFV, I have read around the webs that the characters from the open beta are the base models and that they cant be changed how true is that?, i think this doesn't make sense since in the trailers we see the allied assault dude with a tommy gun and we see the allied support dude with a assault rifle, also in the alpha the axis had a female sniper.

battlefield 5 felt more like a chore than anything, looking for ammo the whole time and asking for health. And it's just annoying how you had to hold down "E" to get health and ammo from the drops, but the TTK and gun play was fun. But the upgrades of each weapon was a bit simple, wish it was like 4 where you choose each attachement to your style

Jesus, I just watched a video of the Wfr. Gr. 21 rockets on the 109. They kill tanks in four hits, and it looks like you get ten or so of them. Great splash damage too.

I liked a lot about it, but I think it's a fundamental error to try to force players into playing a certain way. i.e. the way attrition is implemented.
