I played the crap out of Insurgency which is a combo of playing fast & REALLY tactfully
anything will kill you in a couple shots or less but sometimes you just gotta equip light/no armor and book it because that's the only thing keeping you alive
Sandstorm's 2nd period beta is currently ongoing and there's a lot of fuss about it being too quick and fast, that run n' gun style you mentioned about BF4
Funny thing to think about because I usually play any military FPS carefully/tactically, but because of how the spawn/movement system works it determines how quickly I'll fall into just running around like a damn fool with my finger squeezed around the trigger
like, IE, Insurgency had inertia based movement which slowed you down whenever you tried to pull any crazy moves like turning on a dime or sidestepping while sprinting
all of which constantly pushed you to move slowly with your gun raised when breaching new areas if you didn't have smoke/flash nades
Sandstorm doesn't have that. You just move as fast as you want whenever you want. Sort of like BF4
and I have to second that feeling of moving slower in BF3, despite it being the same game. Four flows faster..for sure..
