I understand degrees are this magic piece of paper that just mean "I did it" but it's a waste of money. It's designed to be expensive. If you could just go and focus on what you're wanting, that would be good. But then the school would make no money.

you're putting too much value into them, the only real merit is proving they were completed, and if you want that then getting a cheap degree from a local CC is the best option, 5k a year, 10k for 2 year technical degree with little fluff, mostly hard stuff, but some fluff added to at least inform you about other fields.

however, if that's 30 hours a week between classes, studying and homework, if you do the same 2 years, start a project, work on it the same amount of time, or even several projects, but have no gap, complete them all, document them all, and spent the same 30 hours a week working on improving the skills, network and shit you've done, then by the end of the two years you'd be a better candidate than any grad

because you'd have tangible experience. the issue is degrees provide documentation, they develop documentation skills, reporting skills, communication skills, lab skills, tech skills. everything is pretty transferrable, maybe not the details, like volcanoes, but how you researched, came to conclusions and expressed them is totally a usable experience.

Like this attrition system is a good idea, but theyve not implemeted it correctly and now its messing with other classes, should have had a simple you heal to 75 without medic (making you one shot to snipers) and medics can push you to 100, the medic class seams like its gonna be underused unless the guns are insane
