@tiny jackal it’s to give time for medics to get to you and revive you... im a dedicated medic and thats one thing that drives me nuts about BF1, ill spot the person for a revive and either clear the area quick or put down some smoke and bust my ass to get to people. They wait til im almost there to start skipping

There's a setting that I think you should change to 0... It's in Advanced Controls or Gameplay... one of those.
Stick Acceleration or something like that, it's in the very top of one of the Advanced Category
Switch that to 0 and aiming should feel much better.
