I hope for a class rework in the next title.. it's a bit odd to me that medics were medium range instead of close quarters... I also found it odd how assault were the antivehicle class... plus vehicles are way too dominant in BF1

I haven't got into BF1 yet (played it only like twice at my brother's) so what's this talk about BF1 being "dead/flop/forgotten" etc? BF4 is 5 years old and people still play it and it was still getting some minor content etc not too long back so why is BF1 any different? Yeah that's an option considering there are so many games from past say, 3 years or so I haven't been able to play since my PC can't handle them and also because I still very much enjoy BF4 (except for how hard it is to find good games and well populated lobbies)

Most fun for me is when the rounds are not too long (30 - 45min per round is OK) and lots of variety in maps, teams very balanced so games are tight and close asf all the time

The marketing for BF1 was pretty high profile aswell though so I guess they managed to built very good hype around the product before release. I mean you cannot NOT dig watching snoop pumping a blunt shooting at the walls on the wrong side of the map and shit :D'

Didn't hear so much about BF4 before release and I guess GTAV also hurt the sales pretty bad since they released almost at the same time. I remember trying out BF4 in an EA room at a convention beforehand, that was pretty dope tho, playing Zavod against like 40 other people in LAN in the same room

i hope bfww2 doesnt follow the cycle, i mean from what we've seen,
bf3 = amazing game, had long dev cycle
bf4 = rushed copy pasta to build on that successs, ended up being a mess at launch

Level 99 to 100 is the biggest level gap in the game

Level 100-140 requires only 50k xp to get to the next level. Dw mate you'll get there. Just keep trying

BF1 has rly bad netcode issues if you're on wireless internet... Other games don't give that many rubberband and hitreg problems but for some reason BF1 requires absolutely 0 packet loss and cable internet to work smoothly

like I get a bit of packet loss on my wireless internet and in some games I have to stop, cause barely a third of my shots would even register at all, so I get nothing done

idk why BF1's netcode has so much more of a bullwhip effect to a bit of network stuttering compared to other FPS games

I noticed today when a round ends and you freeze in place as the camera zooms out on your character, I ended a round of Fort De Vaux and when the round ended, the zooming-out camera literally teleported me to the other side of the room from which I entered it and it made me think... ah... so that's where the server thinks I am huh....

my god the Netcode is terrible for wireless connections.... I do not exaggerate when I say half my shots don't register, most of the times, the game doesn't register when I press to open parachute anymore either or start a bayonet charge... it just doesn't register it. The server also gets my position wrong the whole time, thinking I'm still where I was 2 seconds prior... it's a trainwreck, I've never played a game that had a netcode this bad

I'd be excited for BF2018 if

the netcode wouldn't be so damn sensitive with the least packet loss
the time between clicking the desktop icon and being in a match would be reduced
you wouldn't lose all your progress if you get DC'd out of a game and rejoin
vehicles would be less dominant
less focus on weapon unlocking and definitely not with assignments that force you to play in an awkward and uneffective way for a long time

One of the greater aspects about BF1 imo is rediscovering weapons that you once used in the past or never gave much of a chance... Like I rediscovered Mosin-Nagant and the Obrez recently, both just so good in their own ways. Mosin Nagant has such great muzzle velocity, the bullet arrives almost instantly. And Obrez is like a pocket shotgun. Or rediscovering why I used to love the Autoloading Extended... the Mauser 98 sniper... The Carbine version of the SMLE for which I still haven't beaten the number of service stars on any other weapon... BTW How is the Madsen LMG these days?

weapon stats are meaningful, but you need to also know there's more than just stats. Going off stats alone, the M1903 Experimental probably loses out to similar medic guns (AL Extended). But the context is that you are in the Scout class with the only spammable weapon, making it the only gun with which you can flare&flank in the whole game. And as such, you'll get much better personal stats using that weapon than it's theoretical effectiveness should be.

The nerfs they did to the Support class spread and recoil practically make it useless as a mobile class now, except when you're using the Madsen or the BAR.

but at, say, Hellriegel type range, most of the LMG's will wil a lot of the firefights even when standing/walking, because the recoil at this distance is manageable enough to hit enough bullets and it doesn't take many bullets to kill with an LMG

talking about Nivelle LUL I did my entire Perino unlock assignment by hiding in a dark alley between... I think B and C where there's a spotlight shining in your face if you enter it. I just laid down behind it with the MG15 low weight, basically picking off all passer-by's.
