BF1 bipod is a significant improvement from previous battlefields and worth trying to use effectively

It may not be good on some weapons like parabellum or mg15 after the bipod nerfs, but it's still perfectly usable on everything else

Bipod restricts gameplay and is one of the reasons why the support is and was always the least used class

Tripods allow you to have your weapon in a stable state when you're crouching, but not when prone or standing.

And bipods, like always, require you to be prone to work.

Though, it's quite likely that people will prefer tripoded weapons over bipods more, becoming a meta.

The problem with BF1 at launch was the lack of a progression system, you hit lvl 4 with a class and you could unlock all weapons but one wihch was at rank 10. There wasn't any challenges in the game to work towards.
