Honestly I'd love the game more if the all class weapons didn't exist. Getting sniped by a DMR using support or machine gunned by a carbine using recon is a little annoying.
It feels like they should've been regulated to classes but just weren't.

I think the lack of assault rifles in BF1 is one of the things that makes it more "tactical", everything is more specialized and every class has its role.

Not really, it's good for open maps, and medics shouldn't really be in the front. It does however take 3 bullets to kill someone and the recoil is quite strong for a medic rifle. I'd take the Mondragón since it has better recoil+firerate. The mondragón does have a smaller mag and takes far longer to reload.
