Well he's right more or less, the BAR uses the 30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge. The Thompson by comparison, the American SMG originally called The Annihilator when it was made in about 1920-ish uses .45 ACP. The BAR would basically be on par with the Chauchat as an LMG which you can carry.

The Attack of Dead Men is actually a pretty famous story, it's probably the only real reason people are aware of Osowiec Fortress.
Though I doubt it's famous enough to be included as a map, maybe minus outside of being a small bonus map.

It is but they're still moderately exaggerated, the final mission of Mud and Blood comes to mind when your tank with a crew of 3 people takes on at least 6 enemy tanks. Though it makes sense why they do, given you know, it's a videogame.
That said, not to discredit your original point obviously. Given as far as I'm aware the story of Osowiec Fortress was published in 1939 by the Russian military press. I'd say the story would be more believeable if it wasn't claiming roughly 7,000 German soldiers were routed by it. There's no German accounts of it to back it up, though that may be due to how most German archives were destroyed during the second world war.
Most of what turns up is either ridiculously hyperbolic or overtly patriotic.

For anyone having trouble joining parties: Open Origin, go to Aplication Settings. Click on the tab that contains Installations and saved files. Check that your download folder is the same folder that your game is in, if it isn't, change it and restart Origin. that worked for me.
