Regarding air superiority and dog fighting in BF1: there is no speed control and very little skill input into dog fighting and who wins is mainly a question of who is behind first. Dog fighting is so simple and basic for there to be a competitive aspect imho

Im not saying battlefield 1 requires as much skill to fly planes as in battlefield 4. However I do disagree with some statements. I rarely get taken down by enemy fighter planes even of they got the element of suprise on me. Infact I think I've only been taken down once or twice by an enemy fighter plane.

So I've been playing bf1 a ton since it came out. And I love every bit of it. Feel like I'm a pretty competitive player (not to toot my own horn) and have no issues getting a decent kd

Nothing to unlock for cavalry, you don't get the rank - just the unlocks excluding skins. Cavalry shortcut kit would basically include nothing.

BAR Storm is good, as is the telescopic if you don't mind having to use the Bipod often. Otherwise MG15 Storm/Suppressive, Benet Telescopic or Lewis Gun Suppressive are decent choices. Huot isn't too bad either if you don't mind the iron sights.
Though BAR is probably the best.

It's very fun and unique. Communication and information are important to doing well. There are two modes, a PvP and PvE, both of which are 1 life only.

Horse riders can't kill enemies with a sword while they're proned.
