Relatively fine at least, the French one had a few issues like not having a cover for the ejection port which meant it was susceptible to mud getting inside and a few other ergonimc issues but that was a common theme in World War 1, the Selbstlader I think also had an issue with mud getting inside and jamming the gun.

I'm not a big fan of shotguns in the game but it would be fun to see a 10 gauge single-shot shotgun. Like a martini-henry for the assault class.

Not by gameplay but because the bullet used on the 1918 is actually a really low power round

It is, the Beretta drops off down to 12 damage while the MP18 drops down to 13.5. The initial damage is the same
