Maybe there should be a delay if your holding a primary but a melee and pistol combo was a sound tactic for trench hand to hand. You have the pistol for range and your melee if they close the gap or catch you by surprise

Two big issues from a development standpoint: hardware variety & “min spec” optimization. We’re still making a lot of tweaks and changes to the renderer, the game, and effects so we haven’t run the game through the hardware compatibility lab yet to detect and handle a large variety of hardware - video cards, CPUs etc. Quite frankly, we aren't ready to deal with that yet, we are still making the game better. We also haven't done enough work to fully support our 'Min Spec' on PC yet. So, currently the PC game isn’t as easy to throw out for testing as the console is, because of the additional variables and configurations that we need to support. Also, because the single player story has some wonderful secrets that we really want to preserve for launch, we also have to worry about leaks. Our wonderfully curious PC players have proven in the past that they will dig out anything they can, and there's a risk that they could spoil some of our single player.
We realize this is a big disappointment for our PC fans, but we feel this allows us to concentrate on the real purpose of the tech test and focus on the server stability and scalability. Rest assured we’re confident in our ability to deliver a great PC experience for launch. We appreciate your understanding, and we look forward to seeing everyone on The Frontier this October.

e.g. No one will leave the first cap to get to the next one cause everyone wants that huge score amount you get from capping

From the gamescom live stream, I've noticed in all games.. No team got to the max ticket limit, Since tickets no longer bleed, and tickets start from 0 .. A lot of games might be based on time. I hope servers have the ability to change tickets or anything

Titanfall 2 is burying the coffin that bf1 put IW into, it's also the devs chance to really stick the knife in Activision. They are trying to get the cod crowd and prolong the game. After the criticism of Titanfall they've pretty much done what people wanted. But it's either not good enough or its not a remaster of Titanfall.

"Since I didn't really offer a any sort of specific solution to fixing capture points here is my idea for a well balanced conquest game in which teams are encouraged to PTFO but also given fair point distribution. It's pretty simple.
1: flags have passive point ticks only. No massive bonus for completing caps or neutralizing. Total tick worth of about 300 points. 2: End of game wining bonus of 5,000 points. Or maybe a bonus score multiplier of 1.5x for the winning team. 3: Completing a conquest game bonus of 2,000 points.
This system is painfully simple and easy to balance. The point multiplier or bonus for winning is a huge incentive to try and win. This will lead to capturing points but also defending points and playing as strategic as possible. The 'completing a conquest game bonus' will keep people from dropping from the round if they are losing. The flag tick means that by staying on the flag you get passive points so if you're there for 50% of the time you get half the cap points but if you need to leave the flag for strategic reasons you won't miss out on a MASSIVE capture bonus. It's simple AF and fair."
