the objectives are 50 feet from each other. in most every other battlefield game its a fucking hike between objectives. you have to fight your way across the map to get to the objective. in this, it might as well be two big circles a grenade throw away from each other. before, each time an objective was taken the map expanded further at least the size of the ENTIRE bf6 maps

dude locker was ass and was still longer than the beta maps with better defined coridoors, metro was also 2-3x longer than the current map and featured more open space at the same time. Hanan resort was also way bigger and had much more variety, not a flat field. Siege of Shanghai was smaller, but was well designed with clear paths, also a city map so there is tons of verticality providing much more "map".

right now, it seems fairly apparent that they need to focus on netcode above all else, and thats a good thing. Id rather them give us small maps that force the entire server into small spaces to see how the servers handle such chaos and movement within a confined area. I think people underestimate just how much of an impact animation style has on how an FPS game feels. They've copied CoDs "Tacticool" style almost entirely, which is without a doubt the largest reason why people are making these comparisons to that series.

In that aspect, it is incredibly similar to CoD. The gameplay is only vaguely similar. Had they continued where BFV left off in this regard, I doubt these comparisons would be so widespread.

Well, it uses the class balance of the Bad Company titles, it also uses classes typical since the 2142 title: Assault, Engineer, Support and Recon.

However, Assault is basically a no-responsibility class unlike all the others.
By removing the medical aspect from assault, they give it carte blanche to just do whatever they please. I don't think a Deploy Beacon would help it be more team focused.

Medical and Ammo needs to be separated.

Further, since the support is the typical LMG class, it doesn't make sense that the class who provides suppression/volume of fire is also the class that needs to revive + rearm.

In most if not all previous titles, support has always been the "ammo guy" (and c4) and that's been iconic.
Making them the medic, well, that's a problem. Suppression causes space, space you need to go and revive people. If the guy in charge of suppression is also the guy that needs to run and revive... you see the problem? The enemy pushes up and doinks you.

It's too rock paper scissors, which isn't what Battlefield is.

To be clear, Assault always had medical since it was introduced in 2142.
That stopped around Bad Company where Assault got Ammo and Support got medical.
BF3 returned to Assault having medical.

It's always happened and it's been fine. None of this "most aggressive class" brother you could bumrush people with an LMG with a foregrip in those games and be relatively fine. So don't generalise willy nilly like that.

The classes are from 2142 (good, great even) but the class balance is out the window worse than Bad Company.
The controls aren't BF3, at least there's not unlocks for vehicles like BF4, but that's hoping the bar isn't below ground.

I don't know the technical aspects whatsoever but I believe it has to do with how the client registers incoming damage versus outgoing damage
It's been an issue before in previous titles, most notoriously in BF4

My only problems currently with BF6 are: vehicles are way too weak, they don't need to be buffed to levels of BF4, but they are just too weak.

Weapon recoil is kind of black and white, no attachments a LOT of recoil, few attachments weapon becomes a laser, a middle ground needs to be achieved.

Minimap customization is limited.

Spotted enemies disappear way too quickly from the minimap. Which also makes dog fighting useless because its just so easy to make the enemy jet lose track of you.

Also flying below radar seems useless, because stingers can hit me even if I am flying super close to the ground.

Honestly the changes to assault came with battlefield 2042, when they decided to make support the revive specialist, hp, and ammo guy. From what I see they're doing is that assault is the demolition expert and the one who pushes the Frontline (causing everyone to spawn on them closest to the objective now with the respawn beacon) and support is the... well.... support
