the only thing I dislike is like, any game I wouldn't play with a controller I immediately enjoy a lot less on a console and I played console for a loooooot of years
like, spiderman or something like wolverine is nice on controller
Have anyone tested forcing rebar on in 007 with nvpi did they gain fps?
uncharted I'd have enjoyed way more with a mouse personally, I just do not enjoy aiming and shooting with a thumbstick
I switched from console to PC a year ago and can't let go of playing on a controller.. Unless its an FPS, I can't play it with mouse and keyboard

is there depth of field? I sort of see it but not sure which settings turns it off

yeah i saw something like this on dead space remake (better with dll), I would try using preset L Dlss and then DLSS quality or Balanced
but also with kbm lower frame rates are way more painful than they are with controller
since console will never support modding, it can never beat PC. The visuals between ps5 pro and PC are kinda small in non-path traced games right now though. Probably will shrink with ps6 further. Everyone hating on Dlss5, but that is what will make PC leap over consoles next generation

the lighing improvements they showcased with dlss 5 were pretty cool without the need for devs to do anything, the faces were the only weird part

The ability to like vastly improve the fidelity of non-essential NPCs for a large scene too. Like I think it's jarring when changing main characters but like far away more high fidelity textures and assets

game doesn't need much apparently, but it will probably fix tonemapping, allow you to have much higher peak brightness fix colors etc
is the ingame hdr setting just paper white?
I didn't think Jedi Survivor needed a reno, but gosh is the reno a game changer ever for that game. It has decne HDR out of the box
the optimization is pretty decent, I'm pleasantly surprised

This game definitely has an abnormal amount of ghosting with fgx2 compared to other games. It's better with preset L.

Best DLSS preset for the game? No ray reconstruction so it can use DLSS 4.5 no problem

L fixes a bit of shadow flicker but has issues with other parts, at least I think it's L causing it.
I can't say for sure as I haven't used any other preset but L so far.

Bloom is absolutely crazy in this game. Like Xbox 360 levels of piss filter bloom

I also can't go back to K after seeing the hdr highlights pop so much more with M and L.
This is what I thought, the main downside of L is it's like 5-8 fps slower than other modes. It's generally better

Preset L @ Dlss Balanced is best all arounder imo. It's kinda odd but I don't really see an improvement with dlss quality over dlss balanced. As I said, on some games I don't even see how dlss quality is better than dlss performance on preset L.

I run my 1440p monitor permanently at 1.75x DLDSR. It kinda makes desktop look like shit, but you get used to it, can use cleartype too

yeah, its really impressive what it does, I'm using dldsr 2.25x (4k) and dlss quality on this game, and on CD I was doing the same, same as 1440p dlaa however the image quality is so much better
CD had the same fps, this one has a bit less fps but still not enough to matter, especially turning on fg 2x

I got my ingame set to 180 now, I tend to set paperwhite to 180 in reno for my games but honestly dunno if it's the right setting for this game
with the mod it might be easier to find the proper settings

I only have the motion blur turned off thats at the top, playing around with chromatic aberration, but will prolly turn that off too

I am on 16:9 yes and it is definitely just like, the edges, but it's still enough to where I start moving my screen to pull things out of the blur to look at them

motion blur, film grain and chromatic aberration aren't really gameplay related but more so just effects, the wobble distortion I'm not sure where that really comes in and idk what the full screen blur would be

More people think the game has a lot of graphical glitches, for fg shimmering or other problems, and even without frame gen a lot of shadow problems etc

this is actually closer to what i did in starfield for lut, which was do HDR to user peak, then max channel, then lut sample back, but not ITM. assuming they did HDR to peak
This game for some reason is bad with frame gen and hdr enabled together for some weird reason, with hdr disabled it's all fine

Hmmm, for me, it really doesnāt do that much. You have to look really hard to spot the differences, especially when the base frame rate is already high. But in this game, ghosting is definitely more noticeable than in others.

yeah, on vanilla you input bright blue and get some weak 25-40% result back. upgrade tonemap gives you back 100% blue on a neutral LUT.

Leave slider at default, or 200-250 range.
And play the game like that. Peak brightness will go much higher, thereās no cap for it.

Yes. Itās simply how our eyes work. We perceive brightness (luminance) much more than color detail (chrominance) so when these guys work to fix the image pipelines on these games and get the luminance and per channel color in line, our eyes profit. ( I think I got that right)

my tv can do 12 bit but I think I'll run into HDMI 2.1 limitations at that point doing 4k120

I play on two OLED TVs a Philips 803 from 2018 with just HDMI 2.0, 8bits, 4K 60hz, 35 ms input lag and a LG C3 HDMI 2.1, 4K 120hz, 10/12 bits, 13 ms = results I dont have banding with the old Philips... WTF š I suspect that Philips processing so much the picture and fix it.
You're Philips 803 doesn't have screen allumination like old lg tvs have?

8 bit with dithering might produce better results than 10 bit in some scenarios

That said, the HDR impact of my LG C3 42" vs. Philips 803 55" is much greater on the Philips; the image is more processed, but it has a much greater impact in terms of color, sharpness, brightness... Perhaps I should have bought a different Philips, even if it was more expensive... I wonder if they'll make a Philips QD OLED, but it doesn't look likely...

i got it in 2020 from costco, ive been pretty lucky with dead pixels considering I was using it for work too. Id say i first noticed the dead pixels in early 2025 and since then its popping up more and more around the edges. Its definetly getting worse now.
When i first bought it though i had really bad vertical banding on the left side of the screen and it took like a year of usage for the panel to even out and for the line to fade away. I think it had to do with the way the different panel sizes are cut.
most likely you just dont look for it, but for me not noticing it is the dame as not having it
