Since the Hit Shader divergence is critical to ray tracing performance, we use simplified representations of original materials. For complex multi-texturing on characters, we bake them into a single texture for each character. The emissive materials are included in the raytracing BVH to represent indirect reflections.

click the recommended preset, i just change Rcas sharpening higher, and lower lensflare and bloom strenght
Assuming HDR is calibrated and th correct value for Peak brightness is set for that display (HDR Calibration app) then I'd suggest just reading the descriptions when you hover over and see what you wanna play with. A lot of the newer features are off by default. There is a a Recommended button too.

They built the entire game around their auto exposure, its not a simple post process. Emissive data is tied to "glare" functions which feed everything from bloom to lens flares to whatever the hell esle

With the new version, something changes with the LOD, maybe bias settings, I’m getting shadows flicker in the distance and many assets (rocks) and building just changing texture sizes on the go… maybe I haven’t cleaned shaders properly
