probably worth to say my screen resolution is crazy high - 7680x2160. previously I was getting around 120-150 frames on DLSS 4.0 Balanced + RR, with renodx getting 70-90 frames
make sure you disable generic depth and runtime sync addons
I already did and haven't noticed any performance difference

One way to fix the popin is to drop foliage density to high.

what i noticed with this new reno build u cant use Lossless scalling anymore it add tone of latency worse then native, before was running great latency wise, only with some minor ghosthing effect arround ur characther.

You need to adjust your peak monitor brigtness and below adjust the 100% paper white brightness
You got exposure at 1.2 as well
In my case my model monitor due to panel variance ranges from 250 - 289 nit paper white
Since your peak is 500 your general game brightness should be lower as well
lower your game brightness , if your peak is 500

conversion tools too bright and bad banding (probably user error on my part). Reshade screenshot worked perfectly. Looks the closest like the JXR

After trying the "LetThereBeMoreLight" i saw even more how bad the Vanilla hdr is actually in this game, lights pop now so good really looks like HDR highlights now with some proper contrast tuned.
im using DPX custom tuned from reshade also to boost the brightness more

Btw to get back some performance from running Reshade (its minuscule), open Reshade (Home button) and uncheck these two options.
Then just head over to the RenoDX tab (at the top bar) and tinker away. 👍

Its only for when using regular effects within Reshade, since you are likely only using it for RenoDX that's also why you skip the effect section etc.

So the lantern on belt is much better and brighter than before but still not to the level of the base game which I feel like is perfect brightness for it. Just need a tad more brightness tweak. And while holding the lantern up, its a bit its been toned down way too much, somewhere between this and the previous value would be much better.
Can we also get some moonlight during the night as well as the game has moonlight so the exploration during night is easier. Right now its way too dark and I can't see much beyond my lantern's reach. Awesome job so far

Ok it definitely works, I've set both DLSS and RR to 99% in NVPI-R, I see performance impact from DLSSQ and same behavior of switching DLAA once and then using DLSSQ (less/np boiling of shadows)
PCL latency with framegen is also lower than using DLDSR+dlss performance
at 1440p

I think you should only try RR ones, DLSS 99% seems to not work (because I can switch presets in game and performance/quality also changes with it)
First of all, thank you so much for this latest build, giving me access to all the previously hidden settings. I’m guessing on my HDR600 IPS ultrawide panel, the auto exposure is way too dark (pic 1), so I probably go with „recommended“ and turn only that off (pic 2) vanilla kinda looks fine too, the sky is probably too blue or everything too „vivid“ (pic3) 🙈 but I will trust your otherwise recommended settings. did u actually check the internal res or are you going off of feel, because i checked with SK and CD ignores these custom values for RR

Uncheck Use FSR 1 and select Lanczos 3
It just eliminates blurriness during motion and kills RR blur, crystal clear clean image for like couple % of performance loss compared to like 40-50 DLAA vanilla cost

The game has a similar issue when it rains. I am not an expert but I suspect this is related to upscaling and the way they did implement it. Apparently they didn't follow the guidelines when implementing DLSS

When i was a kid i thought it was cool af that games like EQ, Morrowind, Gothic, etc, got dark enough at night you needed to use a torch
the devs basically implemented the absolute minimum quality for everything in the game except the characters

can this be fixed? because clouds and smokes get pixelated whever something with transparency overlaps them like grass or leaves

half res rendering on top of checkerboard sampling on top of half res raymarching
on top of the previously mentioned temporal reprojection on the whole sky shader
so everything is just a sludge
that they then rely on temporally to resolve

When using DLAA it seems like rain looks better for some reason. With DLSS it becomes grainy

it's supposed to echo a radius and pop up an illusion to do a copy of the skill

I’ve found (at least without Reno ) that using RR and ray tracing indoors makes everything look too bright and blue, and disabled it looks more atmospheric but has too many visual glitches
Yes - needs enabling in-game. Gotta set your max brightness too
problem is they tied the RT lighting to really only enable it with RR
so without it everything is missing shading, interiors are just a mess, no AO, no shadowing on a ton of stuff

I heard (idk for sure) that setting mipmap bias to -15 in optiscaler sharpens the further away textures for foliage
And idk optifg worked flawlessly with the hudfix and ran way smoother than dlssG on optiscaler so I just kept using it

developers still need to get their shit together and fix visuals. RR missing parallax is definitely not intended - just developers not include RR in any of presets and that's why it get disabled with it on judging from xml files in 011 folder (there's also mention of android version of game lol)
however parallax seems broken in general, some surfaces become better with it, some dissolve to mess, they definitely need to enable it on per material basis

I was under the impression that it just takes the DLSS Q (in my case 960p) and upscale it to 7640x4320 than fit it into a 1440p res with some method.
While DSR is like u actually render the game at higher res than downsample to mon native res which is much more demanding

Yeah the overexposure was insane
It might be moreso autoexposure than awb, autoexposure is linked to all lighting and it kills light sources and how much they produce

some HDR luts crush black, some luts raise black. and this is compared to its same SDR lut. no consistency, no logic. HDR LUTs are RNG

First I thought it was just the skylighting through GI but it was everywhere. Sometimes it can look really cool though and really fake skylight GI but lots of time it's just wrong.
Yeah the WB in this one of fucked, it's like they're using camera adaptation tricks again when your camera will freak out the same way and make everything blue, something like that, it's my understanding. The fixed image looks correct the blue one is cursed it's not even a question for me. The game was full of this "lets make everything look like youre watching it trough a cheap phone camera on AUTO settings"
Can also just use dlss enabler. It's a single version.dll file that comes with optiscaler.

The parallax occlusion mapping has issues as well. Any kind of slam attack from the air causes a black bar to appear on your screen momentarily. I've also noticed other weird issues with it like blocks randomly appearing. Had to turn it off.
i reinstalled optiscaler and opened the game without the reno addon, then after it loaded i reopened with the addon and it worked for me
