So I suspect this is caused by the game spawning a new permutation (based on either settings or GPU vendor) one tiled shader is using code and the other is vanilla so there is a mismatch

Mine insta crashes whenever enabling it. If I enable from the main menu it will crash just as cliff is about to get up from the nexus

Game is surprisingly stable in that regard. Zero crashes or any gamebreaking bugs

I've found that the sharpening doesn't work with optiscaler but it has its own so I can turn it off through that

the vanilla system, probably because you're often fighting groups of enemies, just seems to go by who you're looking at
It's super annoying. I'm starting to get used to playing without lock on, but having proper lock on and target switching would make the game feel much better imo.

Definitely worth investigating. Holding guard is the soft lock and re-pressing it should focus on nearest threat, but because enemies surround me I've gotten used to the flow of holding r1/f2 and aiming with left stick

There is a type of light you can buy in game called an "ice light" or "night blue" something or other. they're meant to look that way.
One of the vendors sells both "temperature" lights

in this game i mostly use it to take screenshots, pace native frames and to force off DLSS Sharpening
I just liked SK's graphs, but my only real use of it was the screenshots. I stopped using it in this game recently and didn't really lose anything.
but i always like having it on hand ready when playing any single games
now my dlss is somehow intermittently just not upscaling SUS~1 randomly just goes full potato quality

dlss sharpening shouldn't be a thing in this. That's referring to a sharpening feature from dlss versions older than 2.5.1

Its primary function is obviously for HDR but parts of it do work for SDR, such as the CA removal
flame hue correction works well with RR on.
however, when RR is off. only the flame hue is corrected.. the light cast by the flame remains pink.
