notes:

• i suppose playrobot could be the gold particle but in my head it makes more sense for her to be the yellow particle even if it's pure yellow
• in a similar vein you could swap bimpe and juan around and it wouldn't make much difference, but since the one at the bottom is slightly more cyan i feel like it makes more sense to put juan there
• bimpe is the other pure green particle and not the purple particle because the purple particle leans too far magenta. bimpe's purple (both on his design and in his icon) is much more blue (also there's probably something to be said about there specifically being two red and two green particles while none of the other colors are repeated)
• like i said above, tristan's hey pose (where this mystery confetti is also summoned) is missing the bottom red and purple particles
• if i had to guess who the unidentified particles are, i'd say gold is matthason (kinda superficial but yknow. fire. and being madden's david (who also happens to have a lot of orange on him). orange/gold makes sense to me) and cyan is n (since his pfp is spooky blue skull but the other blues are already taken)

i often wonder what his internal thoughts and feelings are about all that

like, imagine being dave. you have a little incident with your son you didnt mean to happen. nobody's hurt, but you want to make sure nobody ever gets hurt. you spend 2+ years building a machine nobody has ever remotely envisioned the likes of just to remove that power from yourself. and then you use it, and it works. for a while. suddenly that power created a broken reflection of yourself, the machine failed, and youve learned a prophecy that your son is destined to face off somehow with that being and is entirely ambiguous on his, or your, fate

the fact he can even still pass as a relatively normal functional person (lore rewrite notwithstanding that will likely change most of this) is impressive, but its also no wonder he just randomly has outbursts with his powers. how much stress is he avoiding/tuning out if his powers are triggered by "a mass amount" of it

take a look at madden and matthason and then at dave. theres not only a stylistic difference, but general anatomical difference

obviously Recurser has nothing to do with the mod anymore but this was before I found out he was retconned

and I watched community game play the 3.0 version

Madden was formerly a prophet of Lord Bambi. He was the one who delivered the prophecy (Lord Bambi removing his eyes every day, the golden one being the key to defeating the unnameable, etc) and it shocked the followers. They eventually revolted and tried to execute him. Instead, for unknown reasons (likely his own powers), he ended up in the Void, and has remained stuck there indefinitely

This is all based on 3.0 lore, this is likely to change in Volume 2

We’re never told what happened to the eyes after he removed them, so this would be a nice detail to think about

I’d say since the golden magic that would’ve created Blade comes from Tristan, who is a kid, Blade would have the mentality of a confused child when first coming into existence. Since Expunged came from Dave’s 3D magic and is implied to be a warped reflection of Dave due to looking like Dave but “all wrong” when she was first born, then I’d say it’s not far off for Blade to be a reflection of Tristan

If that were to be the case then I feel like Expunged would take advantage of Blade’s innocence to try and manipulate them into believing that Dave and the others are the true enemy, since kids are usually easy to convince (I’m not saying Blade WOULD BE a kid, I’m just saying they’d probably have the mentality of one due to coming from Tristan)

And yes I also feel like Expunged would feel the need to give Blade as much power as she can due to having a devoted obsession with power

In volume 1+: Hard to say anything when the new timeline and story changes haven't been confirmed, but we do have solid ages now (Dave 29, Tristan 11). Tristan being aged up will likely affect the timeline in some way and thereby how old Dave was when he used the P.R.A.E.M.

In 3.0: His exact age was never given beyond "mid twenties" for the current day, which could mean 24-26 but that was never explicitly confirmed. He completed & used the P.R.A.E.M. a month before Tristan's 7th birthday and hes 9 in the game events, meaning it happened ~2 years ago. This would mean Dave may have created Expunged when he was 22-24*. Whether or not this reflects on Expunged's mental age is a different matter, but they are chronologically/physically 2 years old
