You can also balance it by making sure you have roughly equal amount of miners outputting onto each belt

I like to run belts with fewer miners into the larger ones to reduce belt count if it is convenient.
e.g. When patch gives 5 belts, I reduce to 4 this way and feed into station.

i don't really balance everything here. you got 8 belts, and some of them with not enough miners for a full belt. so .. just group 2 belts together, 4 times, and you have 4 full belts.
