If I'm not mistaken, since No-DM restrictions were relaxed, the number of bots/scam/malicious accounts DM'ing Factorio discord members has once again become non-0 number.
Or at least the prevalence of such reports leads to believe it is.

Since I do see people often wanting to DM others for a myriad reasons, most quite okay, is there any granular No-DM opt-out that users can send a bot command to, giving them either permanent or temporary relaxed "Able to be DM'd" status?

i believe a discord server cannot control it on a per-user basis who can be dmd to or not

Ah, also, now that I see it, most of the reports are for friend requests, not actual DMs.

Funnily enough we've just decided to vote on removing the DM restrictions since bots are wising up and doing friend requests now as well. And we've had some small grumbles from people who have to add friends before talking to each other.

ah i am thankful to that, my friend request list has always been an uncurated list and since it is not sorted by time any request i don't notice the notification of lands somewhere in the pile of 80 ish requests never to be noticed again, its always convenient not to have to add people as a friend when you share a server
