I'm starting to finally work with beacons and modules, but I'm very confused as to the math regarding beacons, the diminishing returns, and the stacking of speed modules vs productivity in terms of speed. Currently, i've got a design that has furnaces with 2 prod mod 3s each, and each furnace is affected by 2 beacons with 2 speed mod 3s. No matter how hard i rub my brain on it, i just can't seem to find good ratios for filling/emptying a single blue belt. Any tips or pointers to ease the math?

Take a look on your furnaces output and compare it to half a belt output. Half a blue belt is 45/2= 22.5/s output. To fill each side of your blue belt you need on each side of your belt "number of furnaces" x "output of one furnace" ≥ 22.5
Same way to check if you will have enough ore input (with incoming speed belt and furnace input)
If you want easier math, you can find things that do it for you
Either a website calculator or factory planner mod
You'll likely find it easier to just place a test smelter and beacons and read the ingame rate instead of mathing the speed bonuses, but it isn't too hard once understood
