If I see it correctly, just letting it decay gives you the most uranium ore. I'm not sure what "trash" means with the dumping recipe.

"trash" is what any ingredient in the recipe could spoil into

Yes, just letting it decay is the best, but one steel chest can "process" 2 waste an hour

There's also belt storage, I'm not sure how the best belt designs compare to cars though.
