I finished my Krastorio2 run a while ago, and feel like sharing some pictures for posterity. Theres nothing too particular about this base, but maybe someone enjoys looking at it anyway : )

#

final state of the factory, producing about 1.5k spm stable.

#

i originally intended to do full belts of each science (thats 5.4k spm) but lost interest and cut it short. Some modules reflect that scale, most dont... this is 95 hours of playtime, and as a final hurdle i researched the krastorio logo, (666k science packs) while fixing bottlenecks, making little improvements or pasting whole blocks that entire time

#

i think i 'beat the game' at around 80-smth hours, having already scaled a lot farther than winning demands

#

I think (the right hand side of this) was my first block, a mid game forge, using the refined ore recipe. The ratios work out nicely to have these selfsustaining bars, so I put 2 for iron 2 for copper. I later added 1 more dedicated block with 4 bars per resource. Theres also the blank data card production in the space to the left of the forges

#

the starter base-turned supply hub. first 12 or so hours was bit of main bus, bit of spaghetti, then i surrounded it with rails, replaced the dieing mines with trainstations and it become the center and supply hub of the new train-base

#

For the late game, i constructed two of these giant forges, one for each ore. You can see them in opposite corners of the factory on the map. This takes in 32 belts of ore and turns it into a shitload of plates

#

oh i also played with no pollution and tried to leave trees generally intact for aesthetics

#

This refinery I constructed very early, and after moduling and beaconing it lasted me all the way. I like how dense it is. there plastic and explosives right above the trainstation, thats both inbound and outbound trains

#

my choice of block design lead to these diagonal arrangements which i think are kinda neat. This is one of my favorite blocks, making a TON of electric components with the lategame lithium recipe

#

the midgame iron forge is on the left

#

blue and red and green chips. for the original goal of 5.4k this is very insufficient

#

little bit of fusion pwer too. this is (1/2 of) of 1/3rd of the fusion power i built

#

2 blocks of imersite powder. the sand is mostly shipped off to a dedicated landfill factory, and as the buffer fill i just filled in a big lake to get rid of it...

#

said sand disposal, (and a little bit of midgame copper)

#

I also really like these lithium blocks, making it from mineral water basically. I have 3 of these, and they were basically working around the clock. (theres lithium batteries on the left)

#

I originally intended to ship off the excess oxygen for rocketfuel, but then just burned it... thats the trainstation on the right

#

Rocket fuel and Low density structures on the left

#

my labs block, its sorroundned by one block for each science. at that point i just randomly put beacons next to the labs without giving it any thought or structure

#

the southern mines

#

The logo in all its glory in the center of my base. I was a bit bummed to learn that I had to cheat in some ingredients after researching it, because it is patreon-only? whatever

#

K2 was a lot of fun, id certainly reccomend it. There were some bugs in the 2.0 port, but nothing gamebreaking

@pearl dock where'd you get a 2.0 port for Krastorio 2 from? engithink

#

Its on GitHub, youll also need to krastorio2-assets mod

#

You get the files and cooy them in your mod folder (and rename them the way the game will request on start)

#

But i believe raiguard intends to officially release in like a week anyway
