#Troubleshooting ship combinator logic

Hello all! I've been smashing my head against this wall for about an hour now, I've damn near given up. I made an early game internal planet ship class where I try to disable asteroid collectors based on chunks circulating a sushi belt. Nothing too fancy here honestly, I've seen more than one youtube vid employing this method. It works and doesn't behave abnormally in the first ship I built with it. However when I try to copy it (used a blueprint) into another space platform hub, once it's built the signal doesn't disable asteroid collectors. I'm at a loss, if someone could help me troubleshoot this issue I would gladly appreciate it. Screenshots are the two ships with the combinator menu open, mous highlights wiring from initial asteroid collector. Notice that on ARM Caronte the collector filters allow any asteroid chunk to be grabbed, whereas in ARM Ponos only carbonic and oxide asteroids may be collected by the arms.

Thank you in advance!

Your asteroid collectors are wired to the platform hub. If there's any random asteroid chunks in storage, then that will set the filters of the grabbers

#

why do you need the hub to be connected anyways?

Oooooooooh that explains it, I had a few stray chunks move in when I removed a few belts. I wired the combinators into the hub to extend the wire into the other collctors below, they can't quite be seen in the screenshots.

you can chain the belt to itself without a mode on just to carry the signal

i do that on really big ships with splitters
