#Mystery of the vanishing oil products

Really weird issue going on, no clue if it has anything to do with the mods I'm using. I don't think I have anything that impacts how fluids work, just stuff that adds non-vanilla fluids and storages.

Using "James Oily Extravaganza," I have a fractionator splitting crude oil into five different fluids. Except three out of the five output fluids just seem to vanish. They don't accumulate in storage, they don't pile up in the pipes. They appear momentarily in the pipe/tank system, and then disappear completely. The three that vanish are produced in far smaller quantities than the two that actually persist, but I'd expect them to simply accumulate at a lower rate than the other two.

#

The green arrow entities by the fractionator are valves, figured it might be a back flow issue

#

Placing the valves at the storage tanks instead of the output makes no difference, the fluids still disappear at all points in the pipe/tank system simultaneously

what happens if you remove the pipe outputs - does it accumulate in the crafter itself?

No, it also disappears there. As far as I can tell, the same two higher volume outputs very slowly accumulate in the crafter. But the other stuff just seems to vanish

#

If I have pumps actively feeding into fluid wagons, then they will fill at an agonizingly slow rate, but they'll still fill up at least

#

But the fluids in the pipes still vanish at the same pace/rhythm that the outputs are crafted

the fractionator is the thing with a steam turbine sprite, yeah? try removing the valves entirely and just connecting to the tanks directly

I managed to get it sort of working with both the valves and some pumps going into storage before loading on the trains. I think the volume I'm getting from the two oil nodes I have there just isn't worth refining on site so I'll just consolidate all of it to one spot with the rest of the oil I have access to

maybe that's your issue, yeah. super low fluid amounts might round down to zero, or something

My thoughts exactly

#

so maybe if I put ALL the oil in one place it'll have no choice but to give a real number instead of rounding down for no reason

#

fuck 20 oil per second is slow

I'd expect the pumps that load the trains to suck up the little fluids that are there.

not showing in the crafter itself when all the pipes are removed is weird

#

or having a single pipe attached
