Well, I had to make my own Pedialyte while I was a Paramedic @ FDNY and they had their ingredients in millimoles. I laughed and said, I can figure out how many grams that is too, yo!
Pedialyte is so overpriced it's not funny. I gave the recipe to my colleagues because hydration is a thing when you either fill your boots with sweat up to your calves in a Level A totally encapsulated suit, or you work the hot summer days in NYC.
Without drinking Pedialyte (like) drinks, I went from taking 3 days to recover from a training evolution, to overnight. for pennies on the dollar... 30-60 cents of stuff in an $8 pedialyte liter.
I was a FDNY Haz-Tac Paramedic and the suit we trained in, which if we had to wear it signalled TEOTWAWKI anyways...
this is where you know that's a US pharmacy industry story.
everything with a slightly obsecure name is expensive.
Highway robbery, and it's normally used for infants, so mean highway robbery...
extra immoral highway robbery*
Si.
Well, I'm gonna get lost in space and see what I can do after I watch some Trupen again. Stay safe and enjoy!
have fun!
Oh, two funny things before I go watch the video:
- My coworkers called me "doc" and wondered why I worked there... [simple answer no one would hire me because of the MLK* issue in reverse]
- One medic called me a "cornucopia of bullpoop" until my cornucopia of bullpoop knowledge helped him solve a problem he was having and he couldn't solve, so I got promoted to not being a BS artist... ๐
- Martin Luther King.
strength of character in practice โ
IF I were to live my life again, I would have protected myself from being good, because the best way for everyone in the world to attack you is to just try to always do "Right Action."
Whoa, I would advise against that... but that's just me. ๐ฌ
The Trupen video is at 10x speed, my little brain is hurting atm.
that's just how the world is. good will isn't the sole guarantor of good outcome.
