I'm making a very pointless mod in the very pointful game, Factorio.
However, it does brings me some joy so it can't all be that pointless?
It is my first Factorio mod, so I'm starting simple.
Introducing Cooktorio!
I've had more than one friend express their woes at being forced to live a life of only eating raw fish as an Engineer. So I fixed that.
Main Features:
- Fish can be cooked in furnaces
- Each furnace cooks a different type of fish
- Different fish preparations have different effects when eaten
- Raw Fish were nerfed. Now they heal a lot less, and momentarily slow you down after eating them (bubbly stomach from eating raw fish, yeah?)
- Cooked raw fish refreshes the Spoilage progression of the fish, and increases the time it takes to spoil by around 50%
- Fish-cooking recipes are unlocked by a Technology obtained by mining Fish for the first time.
Planned Stuff:
- Biter Egg Omelet
- Spitter Scrambled Eggs
- A variety of foods based on other planets (Gleba being the easiest of which to work with, and prob will have the most food stuff)
- Custom plants to plant on farmland, to farm more stuff
- Use of Biochamber
- World generation to get the seeds for those plants, or more food items.
- More cool effects for eating food
- Many more foods
- Maybe integration with other mods... I seen that Demolisher egg mod 👀 (Demolisher Eggstravaganza Dish that makes you immune to fire maybe?)
