What do you mean 'build menu'?
There is no real build menu. The entire game is a build menu

If you want to have it use a ghost when you have no more items via hotbar or when pressing q IIRC there is a setting for it I just don't remember exactly where@primal dirge

What I was meaning by build mode was by in your inventory. all i wanted to do and i saw some thing on google but when i tried them it did not work. i just want to be able to build a ghost version if something even if i dont have the needed resources for it with out having to do a blueprint. also thanks for the quick reply @gusty rose i thought i was going to get a responce my tomorrow.

That's it, it let's you grab a ghost from your hot bar or on something you've already placed with Q
