I'm really interested in the actual creep simulation of Creeper World, because I think the "overwhelming pile of goo coming for you" is what creates a lot of the tension

I didn't make any considerable changes to original Creeper mod, only added Warmonger interface method usage for creep tiles creation. Didn't change other logics and didn't play a lot with that mod myself, because I found Rampant mod settings can give much more difficulty with mobs without creeping creep 🙂

there's a "Creeper World 4" as well in 3D, but I think this 2D trailer makes more sense in a Factorio setting

Creeper makes a lot of creep if you need only the tile proliferation. Probably it's fun, but without mobs it is boring.

I played a little Creeper World older versions. Yes, a great series. Unfortunately I don't remember details of game mechanics now.

But what is your goal? Do you want to be challenged by creep tiles obliterating your base or something else?

so the nice thing about creeper world is that it keeps the tension up by constantly keeping this flow of goo moving toward you from the "emitters" and you have to slowly force back the creep with your different tools, get to the emitters, and destroy them.

I think that this could map to a special kind of Factorio scenario where you are "pinned down" on limited resources and/or power, but have to constantly be filling turrets with ammo, or managing power, etc.

and push back the creeper to get to the nests (the "emitter") to destroy them; each nest lessening the immediate threat and giving breathing room and ability to expand, but then further nests becoming more dangerous with the pollution
