Easier to design away in SE because of the beacon overload mechanics I guess.
I'd argue that it should be patched out entirely:
1). It's very non-intuituve. Unless someone tells you about it, it's difficult to know exactly what is happening and why.
2). It's easy to accidentally trigger as a player. For 0.5 sec recipes (like the vanilla green circuits recipe), it doesn't take a ton of speed to push this over the threshold.
3). There's no nice way for modders to avoid it. It will work to scale up the recipe time, ingredients, and products. However this isn't great for early game hand crafting.
