I also tested in a new save, and it also did not work there. It did work prior to the update
It recognizes the clicks though, as it changes which item appears selected in the upper portion of the menu, but I can't seem to move them

it is sort of work-around-able, I can drop items on the ground and pick them up to get them onto my hotbar. although this ux is not ideal
it also seems to affect other clickable ui elements, such as the slider in the quest menu and the shop's scrollbars. this is worked around with the mousewheel however

Yeah i can try later today. Im on fedora 41
Its just the dragging part i have issues with after the update, i can click on things fine and when i hover ui elements they react as id expect

Linux isn't officially supported currently, but it works great on steamdeck, so maybe you just need to update your proton version?

Perhaps, it seems highly coincidental it broke in the update with an inventory change though. And thanks for taking a look into it

yeah, it does make sense that this update would have broke it, but when thinking about the code changes, nothing comes to mind that would have actually made it stop working...
Please let me know if updating proton fixes it for you!

it does seem to be working in proton hotfix, but not in proton 9.0.4! I suspect steam defaults to 9.0.4
semirelated note: if you have other linux players and then mention stuttering, I'd recommend recommending they turn off vsync. Aside from these two quirks the game works flawlessly on linux btw
