I bought the game for my friend so I can play with him but for some reason when I invite him or he invites me it just says loading for like 30 seconds and takes us to main menu not letting us join each other.

have your friend create a lobby (new save), and then you quit you're game completly and join him off steam, also can i join a call with you guys as we do this? (if that's okay of course)

i'll send step by step so it's easier to understand what i'm saying,
You:
- quit game
- join from steam friend list (see in attached photo)
Him:
- make a new lobby
- not invite you and set the lobby state to friends only (not private nor public)

if this dosen't work i'll need the logs from both of you to see potential errors with the game (we'll get to that if needed)

press Win+R and paste this inside:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\maisonbap\YAPYAP
press okay, you will see .log files (one or two), player.log and player-prev.log
attach them to this post, i think only from you it would be enough

it's probably a udp/nat problem with the firewall if the first thing didn't work, but i dont want to go off assumptions so that's why i need the logs for further support
