Update Modrinth instance

Is Modrinth able to update the instance without creating a new one. If yes, does this also apply for SB Enhanced. I am currently on 2.1.6 and want to update to the latest version, but when i select it, it just creates a new intance, which is really annoying imo.

To update the modpack using the Modrinth App:

1. Open the instance you want to update.

2. Just below the Play button, look for the Refresh button and the Update Pack button.

   • If you don’t see it, click Refresh.
   • If it still doesn’t appear, either there’s no update or the instance isn’t linked to the modpack.

3. Click the Update Pack button.

   • Important: Click the green button with two arrows, not the text. Clicking the text installs a new instance.

4. The pack will update, and you can play.

If you can’t see the update button but a new update exists:

1. Wait — it may take an hour or two from release for it to appear in the app.
2. If you installed the pack by downloading the .mrpack from the website and importing it, the instance isn’t linked.
   • You can still use Update All to update mods, but new mods won’t be added.
   • To fix this, install the pack directly from the Discovery tab in the app instead of importing it manually.
