Hey everyone 👋

After seeing the 3.2 announcement I attempted to update Omarchy. I triggered the update following the recommended method Menu -> Update -> Omarchy.

It started and I left it unattended, after a while the session was locked as usual but when I try to unlock with my password it won't work. After every login attempt the error pam_authenticate failed (10) is shown inside the password input for a few seconds.

I have no way to see if something went wrong during the update, but I find really weird a failed update would affect login/unlock.

I would like to fix the issue preferably without reinstalling and I haven't even tried to reboot as I don't want make things worse restarting after a failed update.

Have you left the Computer unattended after typing in your password for authentication or before? after seleting the update

After, the update started and I left it while the downloads were in progress

this fixed it when i had that exact issue

its a known issue that after some time the login screen doesnt accept ANY password anymore

only a reboot fixed this usually but since we wanna be sure the update ran fine you should try this first

Can also just reboot and it'll reset the faillock. You're getting hit by the bug in hyprlock that hasn't been tracked down
