#Window size with ultra wide scren

hi,

I am running omarchy 3.1.4 with an Samsung Neo G9 with a resolution of 5120x1440px and I am wondering how to approche the window size management. When I open a window takes the full workspace which is annoying. I have shared a screenshot.

What would be the best solution to handle the window size ?

Pseudo tiling: creating 2 workspaces on one screen
window rules in hyprland.conf

windowrulev2 = maxsize 1800 1080, class:^(firefox|chromium)$

Is there an option C that I have missed ?

You should handle this via settings in the dwindle or master layout, depending on which one you use. For dwindle this would be 'single_window_aspect ratio' where I would recommend something like 'single_window_aspect ratio = 16 9' (https://wiki.hypr.land/Configuring/Dwindle-Layout/) and for master layout you would use 'orientation = center' (https://wiki.hypr.land/Configuring/Master-Layout/)

(you should probably add this in .config/hypr/looknfeel.conf)
