Could u send the pic without the error message?
export your packages with pacman -Qe > pack.txt and check if you have broadcom-wl installed
or broadcom-wl-dkms
also run a rfkill unblock wifi
Thank you! @thorn tree
Driver seems to be installed.
is connman also installed?
try with iwctl --passphrase wifipassword station wlan0 connect Yourwifi
Installed connman, still can't connect to my wifi network - but wifi tethering from my phone works. Phone is on the same network that I can't connect to on the MacBook 🤔
let's try normally
iwctl
station wlan0 connect Nameofwifi , Enter, enter passphrase, enter , let's see if that connects you to wifi
Gives me the operation not supported
no
iwctl
is a standalone command
you should see iwd >
here you type station wlan0 connect.....
Ah, got it
try reinstalling broadcom-wl-dkms and linux-headers
so remove broadcom-wl first
with sudo pacman -R broadcom-wl
then install those 2
make a hotspot via USB
with the phone to achive it
Will do, thank your for help and patience btw! 🙏🙏
Yep, will do this tomorrow.
Tried this, same result. Can connect to mobile hotspot, but not directly to wifi network. But it's manageable, thank you for your help!
I am having the same issue. Did you manage to get it to work? I am running Macbook Air 2014
