When adding submissions to EmuReady, you are asked to pick which emulator you are using.

Afterwards, on the right you are given a form with configs to fill.

However, the config options you have available on your emulator software can vary wildly between versions.
They often dont match at all with what EmuReady shows you or are wildly out of order.
(Like v1 or v2.2, or even between PC and Android)

Configs are the core of EmuReady
I think it's absolutely necessary that before you are asked to fill your configuration, you are asked to specify your Emulator Version from a dropdown menu

Then, the website shows you the respective config options accordingly.

I quickly made these mockups in Krita as a visual (see pictures)

#

The tools seem to already exist
(The config options that appear on the right already change when you pick Citron or Eden for example)

I think EmuReady needs to show configs based on emulator version

#

Generally, the main issue that needs to be tackled is that emulators CHANGE.

This means their configs change, the NAMING of the configs change, the placement order of the configs change.

#

_

EmuReady needs to accurately mirror these configs on the website.

#

EmuReady needs to update when emulators update

#

_

I think the best way to do this is for the config options to be tied to a version number

#

When I add a submission to EmuReady, before I'm shown any config options, I should be required to pick my emulator version from a dropdown list, just like shown in the mocup pics

Sorry if I'm dragging this on, my communication skills are failing me hehe

Thank you so much to the developers for their work, it is literal magic

I just want it to be the best it can for the community
Unfortunately, all I can provide is this feedback
Thank you for your work!
