#Tailscale won't launch on Windows

So yesterday I installed and set up Tailscale on my Windows laptop and Samsung phone. Both instalations went well, and appear to be working great. Both devices show as being connected to each other, and I can ping my laptop from my phone (my end goal is to access opencode from my phone via ssh).
However, when I go back and try to open the Tailscale app, nothing happens. I've tried administrator mode, repairing, reinstalling, all to no avail. Does anybody know how I should go about fixing this?

What does "tailscale status" say on your Windows device?

it gives the names of the two devices connected to my tailscale network, and for my windows machine, has windows - at the end of the output.

If those other two tailnet devices are showing "idle" or "connected" try first "tailscale ping" and then regular OS ping by the MagicDNS names. If that works, Tailscale is working, and the system tray icon might not be. Right click to the left of the System Tray, click on Taskbar Settings, and click on Other System Tray Icons. Is Tailscale visible and turned off?
