Reverse proxy for tail domains not working

Hello, I’m trying to set up a reverse proxy to my docker containers at home.

I have an adguardhome dns server running in a docker container along with some other containers that I want access to.

Adguardhome is also doing dns rewrites for the containers in the image shown.

I’m using nginxproxymanager for local only certs. Both of the devices in question use the same root ca which is trusted on both ends. Insecure connection works but secure doesn’t.

I’ve tired in nginx…

Tail dns local ip (shown in photo)
Tail dns tail ip
Local dns tail ip (which works for tail devices but kills local access to the local domain)

I have no idea what I’m doing wrong.
